About Me

Hi, my name is Kim. I’m a normal Yorkshire lass born and bred. I was born to Carol and Nigel, who split after a few months. Then living with my mum and stepdad Stephen since I was one.

My Father Nigel disappeared after an altercation with my Nanna Beryl when I was just four years old.

We moved around from pillar to post as a young child with my 4 siblings later to be 5.

I got a paper round at the age of 11, worked in my nannas fruit and veg shop on Saturdays and school holidays, then at fourteen moved in with my grandparents. I answered calls for my grandad Glyns taxi firm and then onto bookkeeping for him.

I left school and went to college then started an apprenticeship soon after, so went to night school. The apprenticeship very quickly turned into a full time job. I passed my driving test so didn’t have to rely on busses.

I had several jobs mainly in administration, then set up my own company with a business partner at the young age of 24. By the age of 27 I started with mental health problems, having lost many family members. I quit my business then was soon offered a position as directors assistant at a local builders merchant; Kennings Building Supplies. As of now I have been there for 12 years, soon to be 13. It hasn’t been an easy ride to say the least but finally working 3 days a week, caring for my nanna on the other 2 and doing bit and bobs like social media and web developing with my family.

I decided I wanted to build a website of FREE knowledge and then advertise other businesses so that they can gain new clients and together build a successful hub.
